Exploring the National Parks of Southern Ontario blog

Welcome to the Exploring the National Parks of Southern Ontario blog. This blog features the six national parks that we are fortunate to have in southern Ontario:

Point Pelee National Park,
Bruce Peninsula National Park,
Fathom Five National Marine Park,
Georgian Bay Islands National Park,
Rouge National Urban Park, and
Thousand Islands National Park.

Written by N. Glenn Perrett, these entries provide some information about the parks including their history, flora and fauna, activities, Parks Canada and much more and are being posted accompanying the publication of Glenn's new book Southern Ontario's National Parks.

The national parks in southern Ontario are spectacular featuring some of the best wilderness remaining here.

Parks Canada protects these parks, and the plants and animals who live
here, while offering a variety of nature activities such as hiking,
camping, swimming, canoeing and nature appreciation.
