Daphne Marlatt is a poet, novelist and editor. She received her MA in Comparative Literature from Indiana University and has since been writer-in-residence at many educational institutions across Canada, including the Universities of Alberta and Manitoba. While she now resides in Victoria, she lived for years in Vancouver, where the residential Chinatown and Skid Row districts influenced her writing. She is the author of many volumes of poetry and fiction novels.
