The scenic campus of the Washington State capitol is outwardly calm, but the Legislature is in Session and no one better understands the turmoil that swirls beneath the surface than professional lobbyist, Sandy Dalton. In the middle of a busy day, a powerful senator is found dead in his office. Sandy becomes the prime suspect in the case, but he isn’t the only one who had reason to wish the senator ill. Sandy and the lead police officer on the case, and together they must identify the motivation for the murder and apprehend the person responsible.
Don Stuart's professional career includes service as Northwest Regional Director for American Farmland Trust, Executive Director for the Washington Assosciation Conservation Districts, and Executive Director Salmon for Washington, a commercial fisheries trade association. Don has also been a practising Washington lawyer, a lobbyist, manager of a statewide ballot initiative campaign, builder, owner, and operator of an Alaska commerical salmon fishing vessel, and he was a candidate for U.S. Congress in Washington's first Congressional District in 1996.
